EstimatorAn Estimator for M. Luis is responsible for analyzing, buy evaluating, preparing and reviewing bids for highway, roadway, and bridge projects.  The Estimator will perform a variety of professional estimating duties related to developing estimates and procuring work for heavy civil construction projects.  Assists in the preparation of cost estimates, prepares construction budgets from cost estimates, and handles contract administrative paperwork.  Provide aggressive follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received. Work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business. This position has functional supervisory responsibility over the work of others

Project Manager A Project Manager for M. Luis works closely to coordinate the effects of construction projects and provides leadership and guidance to the project staff. Manages the construction of asphalt paving projects and concrete road construction projects including State, Municipal, Commercial and Residential segments. Is responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and cost control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The construction project manager responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management: project planning, revenue management, cost management, time management, quality management, contract administration, and safety management. The position involves detailed development of project schedules and extensive interaction with owners, representatives, local government personnel, subcontractors, suppliers and M. Luis personnel.

Project Engineer A Project Engineer for M. Luis will manage all essential documentation for construction projects (budgets, cost reports, submittals, transmittals, contracts, requests for information, change orders, schedules, etc.)  The project engineer communicates with subcontractors, ensuring that projects are completed on time, on budget and agreed upon with the individual, business or agency providing funding. Engineers frequently visit construction job sites to monitor the progress.

Superintendent–  An M. Luis Construction Superintendent plans and manages the coordination and scheduling of various construction jobs, oversees construction of the project in the field, provides leadership to various field foremen on different projects, and ensures the successful completion of trade work.  M. Luis Construction Superintendents must manage and coordinate the work of all subcontractors working on the job site, work closely with members of the construction team, and interact directly with the project owner, owner representatives and the general public. Qualified candidates must have experience in managing medium to large scale road construction/paving projects. Individuals must possess strong leadership abilities and be responsible for managing and coordinating, logistics, subcontractors and suppliers, cost monitoring, scheduling and problem solving. Computer skills are required.

Tack Truck  Tack Truck drivers for M. Luis is to be responsible for safely and productively operate and handle equipment, calibrate and operate distributor. This position will report to the M. Luis Product facility in Rockville, Maryland. Drives tack or distributor truck with capacity of 3,000 gallons, to transport emulsion to and from specified destinations, and applies product to road surfaces according to plan specifications.
